Do I have to work from home - can I operate my Decorlicious franchise from a shop?
Yes - you can definately operate from a shop if you prefer but you need to take into account the added cost of shop fitting
and the monthly cost of shop rental etc.
Why would I want to work from home?
Significantly less overheads, flexible hours since you will be working on an appointment basis.
No traffic since you won't be travelling to a shop or office.
Seeing clients at your home creates an air of exclusivity.
Better stock control, less chance of theft and no staff problems.
You have an opportunity to interact with clients on a more personal level thus creating a loyal customer base.
Is there a monthly management fee when owning a Decorlicious franchise?
No - there are no monthly fees.
What is required from the Franchisee?
You are only required to exclusively stock Decorlicious items.
We believe that we offer a wide enough selection and cater for a big enough market.
We are of course open to suggestions and invite and encourage continuous feedback from our Franchisees.
Is there a monthly advertising fee?
No - there are no advertising fees. We believe it is the responsibility of the Franchisees to advertise in their area.
Decorlicious does however advertise nationally on Google and Facebook and various publications.
We will advertise your details on the contact and order page of the Decorlicious website.
The Decorlicious website currently receives an average of 500 clicks per week.
How much money can I expect to make as a Franchise?
That really depends on many factors but as a typical example:
If you only sell 3 dresses a week at an average selling price of R 2,000 then your monthly turnover will be R 24,000
The current average Gross Profit (based on our June 2010 pricelist) is 47%.
Your Gross Profit per month will therefore be R 11,280 (only selling 3 dresses per week).
This calculation excludes the wide selection of casual clothing, jewellery, evening bags and lingerie.
Am I allocated an area?
Yes - this will depend on your location and will typically be calculated by km radius.
More remote areas which are less populated will be assigned a larger km radius.
What do I get with my initial investment of R 10,000?
All the necessary business related material.
- 500 Business cards with your details - displaying the Decorlicious logo and website address.
- Email setup - yourname@decorlicious.com
- Printed catalogs professionally displayed in executive folders.
- CD's containing the complete catalog in PDF format.
- Access to the Franchisees only section of the website where latest pricelists and stocklists can be downloaded.
- All business templates - letterheads, faxes, pricelists - all with your details and the Decorlicious logo.
- 5 x Duplicate Personalised invoice books and 5 x Personalised order books.
- Training and support which is ongoing while you are a Decorlicious Franchisee.
How do I order the dresses and how many dresses do I need to start off with?
Dresses are ordered using the wholesale pricelist. You can order as many as you like,
depending on your budget and the space you have available.
When do I get delivery and how does payment work?
If the dresses are in stock (Decorlicious head office carries about 400 dresses in stock at any given time and at a further 5% discount),
then you will receive the dresses within 4 working days (or overnight if urgent).
If the dresses are not in stock then they must be ordered from the overseas suppliers and this usually takes 3-4 weeks.
All Decorlicious Franchisees work on 30 days from invoice payment terms and with a starting credit limit of R 10,000.
Credit limits can be increased with well managed accounts.
2.5% Settlement discounts apply to accounts paid within 30 days.
I'm very interested - what is the next step?
Decorlicious will invoice you for a 50% initial investment deposit of R 5,000.
Once payment has been received, the process begins - printing, email setup etc.
The deposit secures your area and is non-refundable.
